Romance, Adventure and The Quest For Troy
New Book tells the amazing love story of the world’s greatest archeologists

Paradise Valley, AZ – (Release Date December 15, 2005) – For centuries, the legend of the Trojan War has continued to astound and even baffle with its amazing epic proportions.  From poetry to books to statues and to digital media, the epic conflict continues to mystify and intrigue every new generation.  But are people learning the truth of the war and its legendary figures?  In her quest to fully inform and educate the whole world with the definite answers to the Trojan War mysteries, author Nancy Joaquim presents a tale of the search for truth and fact with her critically-acclaimed novel SOPHIA, A Woman’s Search For Troy.

SOPHIA is a love story set against the exciting historical backdrop of 19th century Europe and Asia Minor, relating in detail the twenty year marriage of Heinrich and Sophia Schliemann who later became the greatest archeologists of all time.  Just seventeen years old when they met, Sophia was possessed of a born passion for historical research but was limited by the established traditional social restrictions imposed on most women of the time.  Her husband, Heinrich, thirty years older, loved the young Sophia passionately, and implemented both his experience and skills to help her overcome all obstacles. Together they discovered evidence of the citadel of Troy and by herself, Sophia uncovered the mysterious Grave Circle of Mycenae, breathing life into The Iliad and its illustrious heroes and revealing answers to the age-old mysteries surrounding the Trojan War and the legend of Helen of Troy and the Face that Launched a Thousand Ships.  At the same time, the love story of Heinrich and Sophia proves as legendary and as inspiring as the discoveries this charismatic couple has made.

Richly-layered, imaginative, and intimate, SOPHIA depicts Sophia Schliemann’s passion-driven quest for answers behind great legends, the culture of the 19th century, the infant science of archeology, and the power of love.  It is a love story unlike any other and readers will feel the romance, the adventure, and the historical impact of the content.  With her extensive experience on education and the arts, author Nancy Joaquim has crafted a book that will attract and entertain a wide audience of readers, filling their hearts with passion and excitement and teaching them a thing or two about the times and the people who lived them.  No doubt about it, SOPHIA, A Woman’s Search For Troy is the most enjoyable and the inspiring book you can find at your favorite bookstore and library today! You will love this book!
